Description

Dräger CPS 7800 are gas-tight chemical protective suits in line
with EN 943-2:2019 (type 1b-ET). They are reusable, gas-tight
protective suits.
A self-contained breathing apparatus or an air line breathing
apparatus and a full face mask are required for breathing air
supply. The full face mask can be permanently integrated into
the chemical protective suit and has one of the following
connections:
Round thread connection (RA) according to DIN EN 148-1
Plug-in connector (P) for protective positive apparatus
Universal connector (PE) according to DIN EN 148-3
Universal plug-in connector (PE/ESA) according to
DIN 58 600

NOTICE

i
Only use for demand valves that fit the relevant full
face mask. This ensures fault-free operation.
Alternatively, the chemical protective suit can be equipped with
a face cuff. A full face mask that fits the compressed air
breathing apparatus or a compressed air hose respirator is
placed on the face cuff. Possible combinations see Chap. 3.4
on Page 25.
The compressed air breathing apparatus or compressed air
hose respirator, full face mask and safety helmet are worn over
the chemical protective suit.
The chemical protective suit is equipped with exchangeable
gloves. There are different glove combinations available:
inside chemical-resistant FKM/butyl glove,
outside optional cut-resistant and watertight Tricotril

The chemical protective suit can be equipped either with socks
made from the same material as the suit or with boots. The
socks by themselves do not provide adequate protection from
mechanical stresses. The user must therefore also wear
suitable safety boots which are approved to EN ISO 20345.
A cuff prevents the penetration of substances between the
socks and safety boots.
The chemical protective suit features a pocket for radio units
and a push-to-talk button flap. The pocket is labelled with the
type ID.
The following optional components can be fitted to the
chemical protective suit:
Regulating valve PT 120 L:

, PSS
Ventilation unit for connecting external air sources to the
cooling system inside the suit
An external air supply (e.g. compressed air breathing
apparatus or a compressed air hose respirator) is
connected to the plug-in nipple on the regulating valve. The
air is conveyed inside the chemical protective suit via the
regulating valve. There are air venting hoses in the
chemical protective suit that are connected to the
regulating valve, these distribute the air supply flow into the
suit.
