How to switch on the sonar

This chapter explains how to switch your sonar system on and off.
WARNING
Before you start: Make sure that the water
depth below the keel is sufficient to lower the
transducer!
Observe the following procedure.

Power
keep it depressed for approximately two seconds.
• A green lamp will flash to indicated that the power has
been switched on, and that the computer is starting up.
After a short period (approximately 2 minutes) you will
see the sonar picture on the display.

Press the
Down
the transducer.
• The transducer will stop automatically when it has
been lowered to its full length. The dialogue at the
bottom right corner of the display will tell you when the
transducer has been fully lowered.
• By default the transmit power is disabled when the sonar
is powered up. This is for safety reasons. In the menu,
you will see that the
remind you of this.

button is not used on the SP90 sonar.
