Disinfecting the ImmAirsion
Disinfection is the process of destroying infectious agents and eliminating
pathogenic microorganism. In most case regular cleaning is all that is required
unless exposure to a known infection or an open wound has occurred. The
insert must be cleaned before disinfection.
1. Remove the air cells insert from the foam base by carefully extracting the
inflation tube(s) and valve(s).
2. Tightly close the inflation valve(s).
3. Prepare a solution of water and a neutral pH virucidal disinfectant cleaner,
following the instructions on the disinfectant product label.
4. Soak the air cells insert in solution for 10 minutes.
5. Rinse with clean water and let air dry for 15 minutes. To accelerate the drying
process, use a clean dry cloth to gently wipe off excess moisture.
6. Place insert in the recess of the foam base and reinstall cover(s).
Disposal of Medical Devices
Do not burn or throw away medical devices outside of designated areas.
