E. Install the Log Assembly (Including Glowing Embers and Lava Rock)
Log Set Assembly: LOGS-QPLA36
Models: QUARTZPLA36IN, QUARTZPLA36IL
CAUTION: Logs are fragile, handle with care.
Log Identification:
Reference Figure 1 for identification of logs. It is important
to lay the logs out in order as shown in Figure 1. Some
logs are similar to others in shape or size so it is imperative
to correctly identify each log.
Note: The log placement is identical whether the glass liner
refractory or the brick refractory is installed. Refractory is
required for these models and must be ordered separately
from appliance at time of appliance purchase.

LOG PLACEMENT
INSTRUCTIONS
1. LOG #1: Locate and install the Log #1 by installing the
right end of the log over the rear log pin. See Figure 2
for log pin locations. Then rotate the left end of the log
until it contacts the rear refractory panel. See Figure 3.

2. LOG #2: Locate and install Log #2 by positioning
the left side of the log on the flat spot of Log #1. The
burned out area of Log #2 should align with the right
edge of Log #1. When installed correctly, the front face
of Log #2 should be flush with the front face of Log #1.
