Operating Instructions 6.1.2 Defrosting Your This product operates using a manual defrost system. While the compressor is Appliance operating, ice will build along the rear cold wall (the evaporator plate is behind the wall). During the compressor’s off-cycle, ice will melt, drip down, collect in the trough at the bottom and drain through a small hole into a tray above the compressor, where the compressor’s heat will evaporate the water. -
