How to programme the unit
How to use the programming unit
The "Avant" system is programmed with the Universal Programmer PCT 3.0 model. When used with the Avant headend, this
programming unit has a menu with 15 options that can be scrolled by pressing the
functions:
- Configuration of the system's UHF inputs.
- Assign a TV channel for each programmable single-channel amplifier (10 single-channels).
- Set the UHF output level (it determines the VHF and FM levels).
- Select the output slope.
- Select the IF input attenuation.
- Select the powering voltage for the LNB.
In this unit, the meaning of the buttons and the LED's is the following:

Once connected, the programmer receives the previously set parameters from the Avant unit (memorised
channel in each single-channel, input configuration, output level ...).
The programming unit begins by accessing the "Input mode" from the menu so that by pressing the menu
selection
button
we can scroll through the different options and with the
parameters as can be seen in the table below.
Once all of the systems options have been selected, press the adjustment button

REMARK: To carry out the level adjustment process, it is necessary to terminate the output of the unit with a
75 ohms adapter load (ref. 4061) ), and it is not necessary to load the unused inputs, see fig. 1.b
(page 34).
