Changing the tool (BLS).
Before mounting or replacing cutting tool or accessories, pull the power plug.
WARNING
This preventive safety measure rules out the danger of injuries through acciden-
tal starting of the power tool.
BLS1.6CE, BLS2.5E, BLS3.5: The blades cannot
be reground and must always be replaced in
pairs.
BLS4.2: The table blade can be reground;
check the cutting angle with the grinding
gauge provided.
Replacing the cutter blade (BLS1.6E,
BLS2.5E) (figure 19).
Loosen the screws with the hex key.
When one of the four cutting edges of the
cutter blade is dull, turn the cutter blade by
90° and mount back together.
When all four cutting edges are dull, replace
the cutter blade.
Check the cutting slit; excessive feed leads to
an overly narrow slit; heavy burrs will result
from a too wide slit.
