To check what device has been assigned, execute the following command.
In the following example, because the hda is assigned, it is edited to hda=ide-scsi.

Operating Correctly
If this product is not operating correctly check the following. This product may not
be the only factor involved. Also check the other devices combined to make up
the system. If the cause cannot be identified, contact an office listed in the
"Contact Information".
Operations cannot be performed even
after inserting the disk.

performed" is displayed.
• An error message is displayed.

Is the disk upside down?
Is the disk dirty?
Is the disk scratched or
bent?
Is this product securely
attached to the server?
Corrective action
Check the side of the disk.
Wipe the disk.
Replace the disk.
Attach this product securely
again.
