DVD-ROM Frame
The frames needed to install the bays of RX100 S2 and RX100 S3 differ in shape. Refer to the
following diagram to decide which is the correct frame to use.

How to Install the CD-ROM drive to a Server
to which a slim type CD-ROM drive has
been installed (excluding PG-DVA103)

Remove the covers from the server.
Refer to "Installing Options" in the "User's Guide" in the PRIMERGY Document & Tool CD
provided with the server.

Remove the slim type CD-ROM drive from the server.
Disconnect the interface cables and the power cables connected to the slim type CD-ROM
drive. Pull the CD-ROM in a frame outwards while releasing the tabs to remove it.

Remove the frame of the slim type CD-ROM drive.
The frame is attached to the server using screws or attachment tabs. If the CD-ROM is
attached to the frame using screws, remove all the screws.

Remove the DVD-ROM drive from the 5 inch fastener.
Unscrew the 3 screws and remove the 5 inch fastener.

Attach the frame from Step 3 to this product.
• If the CD-ROM was attached to the frame using screws.
Use the screws for securing the drive (M2x4) provided to re-attach the CD-ROM.
• If the CD-ROM was attached to the frame using the attachment tabs
Insert the tabs in the screw holes to re-attach the CD-ROM.

Install this product in the server.
Connect the interface cables and power cables removed in Step 2.
