How to Install this Product to
the Server
This product is installed in the CD-ROM drive bay of the server. Remove any CD-
ROM drives that have been installed as standard.
Use the interface cables and power cables that were connected to the CD-ROM
drive that was installed as standard.
If purchased using the custom made service it is already installed in the server.
CAUTION
The thickness of a slim type CD-ROM is 13mm, a thick type CD-ROM is 43mm.

Refer to "Installing Options" in the "User's Guide" in the PRIMERGY Document & Tool CD
provided with the server.

How to Install the CD-ROM drive to a Server
to which a CD-ROM drive has not been
installed (excluding PG-DVA103)
Refer to "Installing Options" in the "User's Guide" in the PRIMERGY Document & Tool CD
provided with the server to install the DVD-ROM ATAPI.

Install the DVD-ROM ATAPI to the frame.
Use the screws for securing the drive (M2) provided. The number of screws used when
attaching the frame differs for each server.
For details about the frame, refer to " DVD-ROM Frame" ( pg.43).

Install the DVD-ROM ATAPI to the server.

• To avoid damaging the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive do not carry them by
holding the top and bottom, hold them by the left and right.
