HP Vectra VL 8 Replacing Hardware Components
Replacing the Hard Disk Drive
In the Minitower's Rear Shelf
1 Remove the computer's cover (described in this chapter).
2 Unscrew the access plate on the rear on the computer.
3 Remove the drive's connectors.
4 Remove the old drive from the PC.
5 Pass the new drive through the shelf.
6 Secure the drive to the box, using the four screws provided with the
drive. Two screws must be inserted in each side.
7 Replace the access plate on the rear of the computer.
8 Attach the data and power connectors.
9 Replace the cover (described in this chapter).
