9. FAULT DIAGNOSIS

SYMPTOM
Air Leakage from Pipe Connection 27
Punching Rod does not properly
extend the punch inside the hole
Punching Rod does not advance /
return
Hexagon seats too small
Tool is not able to produce the seat
Pneumatic return spring 65 broken or
excessively stressed
Oil Leakage
Air Leakage
POSSIBLE CAUSE
O-Ring Defective
Tail jaws switched off.
Debris material between Rod and
Punch
Punch worn Rod diameter diminished
Punch worn stroke too small
REPLACE
FRONT: Lip Seal 83 worn or scored or
hydraulic piston rod scored.
BACK: Washer 14 worn or scored or the
finish of internal cylinder is scored.
LOWER PART: Washer 63 is worn or
pneumatic piston rod scored.
AT THE TRIGGER: Check O-Rings 44
AT AIR ESCAPE: Check wear condition
of LIP seal 69.
AT AIR PIPE CONNECTION 27: Check
the correct installation of pipe and
wear condition of O-Rings 34.
REMEDY
REPLACE
Switch on tail jaws
If necessary disassemble the
equipment (Head) including the
punch, then clean
REPLACE visually check that the
diameter is not smaller than 3,95mm
REPALCE
Visually check the Oil level by opening
the oil drain screw 35. If necessary Top
Up with prescribed Oil.
If possible operate with lower Air
Pressure
REPLACE the worn or damaged parts
to restore the tightness.
Top-Up Oil.
REPLACE If Worn
