INSTALLATION
To obtain the optimum performance from your ZVR-500 follow the installation guidelines below.

DO NOT EXPOSE THIS EQUIPMENT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE
Site the ZVR-500 in a suitable location.If you have a PCB format version fix it using the five mounting holes
(one at each corner of the PCB and one adjacent to IC16) provided.
If you have ordered the ZVR-500 in PCB format unpack the receiver and check the contents against the list
below.

Fit to restore default Configuration.Default configuration will be restored whenever the ZVR-500 is
powered-up.This Link should be removed after initial power-up and self-test.
LK2
Used to select Alarm contact type.
Fit N/C for Normally Closed Contacts
Fit N/O for Normally Open Contacts
Fit TERM for Supervised Alarms
LK3
Used to select the Control Method
Fit RS422 for Twisted Pair Control
Fit COAX for VICTA Control
Fit COAX + RS422 for Twisted Pair Control and Alarm Reporting via VICTA

CONNECTING THE ZVR-500

Connect up the ZVR-500 in accordance with the accompanying wiring diagram, paying special attention to
the maximum ratings and the notes below.

The ZVR-500 MUST be Earthed at the AC input supply terminal.

NEVER run cables directly under the PCB as this may interfere with the operation of the
Telemetry receiver and other camera head equipment.

ALWAYS use Screened cables for low voltage and signal cables ensuring the screen is connected
to 0V or Earth.

AVOID looming cables of differing characteristics together E.G. Video cables with cables carrying
mains power.

If the ZVR-500 is to be operated over twisted pair cable ensure the screen is connected to 0v

If N/O alarms are selected link-out unsed inputs to the alarm common

The maximum cable run for Twisted Pair is typically 2Km
08
The maximum cable run for VICTA is typically 750m
09
The maximum number of Telemetry Receivers that can be connected to a driver output is 30
10
The cable used to wire the secondary of the transformer should be a minimum of 0-5mm
