TROUBLESHOOTING

FAULTS
• The heater fails to start and fan does not
start
• The heater fails to start flame and stops
while:
M - M DV MODEL
>> fan goes on
A MODEL
>> lamp (8) lights up with steady red
light
•The heater fails to start or stops and the
warning light (8) comes on with a flashing
orange light (A model)
• The heater does not stop when "STOP"
procedure is followed
• Fan noise or vibrations
If the heater is still not working properly, please contact your nearest dealer or authorized Service Centre.

CAUSES
• No power supply
• Mains switch in wrong position
• Faulty operation of room thermostat (A model)
•Insufficient gas supply
• Safety thermostat tripped due to overheating of
combustion chamber
• The flame does not light up
• Faulty safety thermostat
• Thermocouple is insufficiently heated and gas
valve closes (M - M DV models)
• Faulty thermocouple (M - M DV models
• Electrical power cable is connected with
polarities L and N reversed (A model)
• Ionization electrode does not detect a flame (A
model)
• Control unit tripped due to irregular burner
operation (A model)
• Faulty electronic control unit (A model)
• Insufficient power supply (V < 195 V)
• Gas solenoid valve does not close because of
debris
• Faulty room thermostat (A model)
• Foreign bodies on fan blades
• Insufficienct air circulation

REMEDIES
• Check power specifications
• Check power connections
• Check fuse
• Select correct position
• Check thermostat position
• Check thermostat electrical connection
• Check thermostat operation
• Check if gas bottle is empty
• Check gas supply line and remove any debris
inside
• Check pressure regulator and replace if
necessary
• Check that the suction and the flow grills are
unobstructed
• Check that the room is well ventilated
• Check that hot air can escape freely
• Check that gas flow and/or pressure are not
excessive
• Check that the suction and the flow grills are
unobstructed
• Check ionization electrode positioniing
• Check room thermostat and replace it if
necessary
• Repeat starting operation keeping thermal gas
valve button pressed for at least 13 seconds
• Check thermocouple positioning
• Remove thermocouple and clean it
• Check thermocouple and replace it if necessary
• Reverse polarities L and N
• Remove flame sensor and clean it
• Contact Customer Service
• Check the unit and replace it if necessary
• The heater will restart automatically when the
power supply returns to normal (V>195V)
• If the heater starts and stops several times
check the electrical power supply
• If the heater will not start and remains off, check
the electrical power supply
• Close main gas stopcock on gas bottle, let the
heater burn remaining gas in gas tube, and
contact Customer Service
• Check room thermostat and replace it if
necessary
• Check electric connection of room thermostat
• Remove foreign bodies
• Eliminate all possible obstacles to proper air
flow
