    GXV-3000 O VERVIEW The GXV-3000 IP Video Phone is a next generation IP video phone based on SIP standard and H.264 video codec, the codec of choice for high-quality video. It also supports H.263/H.263+ legacy video codec just for compatibility. The GXV-3000 supports real-time (up to 30fps) high-quality video at very modest bandwidth level (as low as 32kbps, up to 1Mbps).

    AFETY OMPLIANCES The GXV-3000 phone complies with FCC/CE and various safety standards. The GXV-3000 power adap- tor is compliant with UL standard. Only use the universal power adapter provided with the GXV package. The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover damages to the phone caused by unsupported power adap- tors.

    G.729/G.728, 64 (x10ms) and 64 (x2.5ms) frames respectively. Please be careful when editing these parameters. Adjusting these parameters will also change the jitter buffer. The GXV-3000 has a patent jitter buffer handling algorithm. Grandstream recommends using the default settings and not adjusting these parameters. Incorrect settings will affect the voice quality.

    NDIVIDUAL CCOUNT ETTINGS The GXV-3000 has 3 line appearances, each with an independent SIP account. Each SIP account requires its own configuration page. Their configurations are identical. 11: SIP A ABLE CCOUNT ONFIGURATION Account Active This field indicates whether the account is active. The default value for the primary account (Account 1) is Yes.
  • Page 33 If the NAT Traversal field is set to “No, but send keep-alive” with no specified STUN server, the GXV-3000 will periodically (every 20 seconds or so) send a blank UDP packet (with no payload data) to the SIP server to keep the “hole” on the NAT router open.

    Once a change is made, press the “Update” button in the Configuration Menu. To activate changes, re- boot or power cycle the GXV-3000. User can “Update” and back to related Configuration page again to make sure all the necessary parameters changed before finally reboot the phone.

    ERVER Grandstream GXV-3000 can be automatically configured from a central provisioning system. When GXV-3000 boots up, it will send TFTP or HTTP request to download configuration file, “cfg000b82xxxxxx”, where “000b82xxxxxx” is the MAC address of the phone. A service provider or an enterprise with large deployment of Grandstream devices can easily manage the configuration and service provisioning of individual devices remotely from a central server.

    IDEO URVEILLANCE To use the GXV-3000 as a video surveillance camera, please configure the GXV-3000 and the monitor PC in the same LAN environment. Advanced users may manipulate it to work over WAN (configuration not recommended and not covered in this User Manual).     Restoring the Factory Default Setting will delete all configuration information in the phone. Please backup or print all the settings before you do factory reset to restore factory default settings. Grandstream is not responsible for restoring lost parameters and cannot provide help to connect you again to your VoIP service provider.
