Inverter Interfaces

The following figure shows the inverter connectors and components, located at the bottom of the
inverter.

AC and DC conduit entries: Connection points of the Connection Unit.
l

Two communication glands, for connection of inverter communication options. Each gland has
l
three openings. Refer to Setting Up Communication to the Monitoring Platform on page 72 for more
information.

LCD light button: Pressing this button lights up the LCD for 30 seconds. In addition, you can press
l
this button to view inverter status screens and access configuration menu options, as described
Configuring the Inverter Using the LCD Light Button on page 57.

ON/OFF switch: Turning this switch ON (after the power optimizers are paired with the inverter)
l
starts the operation of the power optimizers, enables power production and allows the inverter to
begin exporting power to the utility grid/backed-up loads. Turning it OFF reduces the power
optimizer voltage to a low safety voltage and inhibits exportation of power. When this switch is OFF,
the inverter control circuitry remains powered up.

LCD panel: displays inverter information and configuration parameters
l

LCD LEDs: Three LEDs indicate the following inverter statuses:
l
Color
Description
Green
Power production
Module communication and
Yellow
inverter shutdown
Red
All LEDs turn on while the inverter is being configured.

Figure 7: Inverter Interfaces
On - The inverter is producing power.
Blinking - Standby mode. The inverter is in Standby mode until its
working voltage is reached. The inverter then enters Production
mode and produces power.
Off - The inverter is not producing power. This may be during Night
mode, when the inverter ON/OFF switch is OFF or when an error
occurs.
Blinking:
Monitoring information is being received from a power
o
optimizer.
The inverter is being shut down.
o
On - There is an error. Refer to Troubleshooting on page 93 for
Fault
more information.
