2-10 Serial ATA Connections
Serial ATA Ports
There are six Serial ATA Ports (I-SATA0~I-
SATA 5) located on the motherboard, in-
cluding four SATA2 ports and two SATA3
ports. These ports provide serial-link
signal connections, which are faster than
the connections of Parallel ATA. See the
table on the right for pin defi nitions.
SAS Ports
Eight Serial Attached SCSI Ports (S-
SATA/SAS 0~3, SAS 4~7) located on
the X9DBU-3F/X9DBU-iF motherboard
to provide serial link connections. These
ports are supported by the Intel C606
Chip. See the table on the right for pin
defi nitions.
