Fax Function Upgrade Unit

JBIG compression for transmission/reception becomes possible.
You can increase the maximum programmable numbers of the following func-

Expansion Memory (32MB: DIMM)

This allows you to send fax messages at high resolution (Super Fine). This also
allows you to receive fax messages at high resolution (Fine or Super Fine). See
p.201 "Maximum Values".
Handset
You can make or receive calls by installing the optional handset and dialing
manually.

Extra G3 Interface Unit

This option provides one extra G3 line connection.
A maximum of two G3 interface units can be installed.
