To install the FileSafe Express:
Important: Before you begin, log on as an administrator of your
computer or as a user with administrator permissions. On a
Windows Vista computer system, click Command Prompt and
select Run as administrator.
Obtain valid credentials for connecting to the storage system.
Only an IPStor Express administrator can provide you with a user
name and password.
1 Place the Altos easyStore M2 Software Installation Disc in the
optical drive of the computer in the same subnet as your storage
system.
2 Start the appopriate setup utility for FileSafe Express, according to
the version (32-/64-bit) of your operating system .
• If your system is running a 32-bit version of the Windows
operating system, double-click the 32-bit executable file, such
as FSE1.0.15-SDM*.*-***-32bit.exe.
• If your system is running a 64-bit version of the Windows
operating system, double-click the 64-bit executable file, such
as FSE1.0.15-SDM*.*-***-64bit.exe.
