Overcasting stitches

Sewing overcasting stitches
along the edges of fabric to
prevent them from fraying.

Using the overcasting foot

Change the presser foot to the
overcasting foot (E).
Sew the fabric with the fabric
edge against the guide of the
overcasting foot.
Attention:
The overcasting foot should be
used to sew with patterns 05
and 08 only and do not set the
stitch width narrower than "5.0".
It is possible that needle could
hit the presser foot and break
when sewing other patterns and
width.
Using the standard presser
foot
Change the presser foot to the
standard presser foot
(T) .
Sewing the overcasting along
the edge of the fabric so that
the needle drops over the edge
of the fabric on the right side.
