Camera Features In addition to basic photo capture, the Minolta MND55 has a variety of shooting modes to suit different situations. This section describes how to make the most of the key features of enjoy your camera to the fullest.
First Use Operating Battery Door Unlock the battery door by sliding the locking latch left with your thumb or nail and release. The battery door should unlock and slide open. Installing the Battery Insert the included lithium-ion battery into the battery compartment with the metal contact facing the inside of the camera as shown in the diagram below.
Installing the Memory Card Insert the SD memory card into the battery compartment with the metal contact facing up as shown in the diagram below. Push the memory card in until you hear an audible click. The SD memory card can only be inserted in one way. Do not force the card in if it will not go in smoothly.
Charging the Battery Connect your camera to the included AC adaptor with the USB-C cable provided for USB-C port under the protective door as shown in the figure below. Plug the larger end in to the included AC adaptor. While charging, the LED indicator light will light up solid red and will turn off once charging is completed.
Connecting to a Computer Your camera can connect to a computer to transfer photo and video files for viewing and editing, or to use your camera as a PC web cam. To connect the camera to your computer, open the protective cover on the side of the camera to access the USB-C port. Insert the small end of the USB-C your computer.

2.3 Capturing a Photo Scene mode, hold the camera with both hands, being careful to not block the flash and lens with fingers. Point the lens toward the object you want to take a picture of, and then frame it with the LCD monitor.
2.4 Capturing a Macro Photo (Close-Up) The MND55 includes an autofocusing lens and is capable of super sharp macro or close-up shots. Macro photography is about showcasing a subject larger than it is in real life an extreme close-up of something very small.

2.6 Using the Built-in Flash The flash provides supplemental light for the scene. It is also suitable for metering and shooting in darker scenes to improve the exposure. Pop the flash up manually as shown below: Press the UP / FLASH button to enter the Flash menu and cycle through the Auto, Forced, and Off.
2.7 Using the Zoom Function The MND55 is equipped with an autofocus lens and a digital zoom function. Digital zoom enlarges your image electronically by cropping and enlarging the central part of the photograph. To operate the zoom function, push and hold the T(ele) button lever to zoom in closer to the subject, and push and hold the W(ide) button lever to zoom out, away from the subject.
2.8 Accessory Attachments The MND55 supports many different accessory attachment capabilities such as lens filters & attachment and external microphones. The front lens has a 52mm diameter threading for compatible filters and attachments, and the side door features a 3.5mm microphone input.
3.0 Camera Settings Menu The settings menu is designed to change depending on the current shooting mode the camera is in. For example, when in PHOTO mode, the setting menu will only display the settings for PHOTO mode. When in VIDEO mode, the settings menu will only display the settings for VIDEO mode.
3.1 Photo Capture Mode & Settings Menu Power the camera on and it will be ready to capture pictures right away. You may press the MODE/OK button to switch to another mode. 1. Line up your shot by looking at the LCD screen to see what is in the shot. 2.
3.1.2 White Balance White Balance changes the color of light in your pictures, making it seem warmer or cooler depending on how the light you're shooting in affects the frame. 1. 3.2 Interval Photo Capture Mode & Settings Menu Interval Photo mode will allow the camera to automatically capture a single photo at a set interval until stopped. To enter Interval Photo mode, power the camera on and press the MODE/OK button. Use the LEFT or RIGHT buttons to select Interval Photo and press the MODE/OK button to enter the Interval Photo Mode.

Once you press the Video Record button, the camera will continue recording up until the maximum duration and will then automatically begin recording a new video clip.
