Select System|Interfaces to
configure an interface to another
system
Note that the example given in this description is of a
connection to a ViewPoint MultiServer. Other interfaces are
possible and the parameters described below may vary
according to the interface selected. Please contact Thermo
Fisher Scientific regarding your specific interface requirements.
Select the Configure Interface
button to view the parameters:
Description of options:
Field Name
Description
Enable
Tick this option to enable the interface to work with
the SAM12.
Instrument ID
Enter the Instrument ID using the numerical field
Report Interval (s)
This is the interval in seconds, that the system
checks the connection to the interface.
Primary Interface
Tick this option to use the Primary details to
Enable
connect to the interface (see below).
Primary IP Address
This is the IP address for connection to the
interface.
Primary TCP Port
This is the TCP Port for connection to the interface.
Secondary Interface
Use the pre-defined window to select a option from
Mode
one of the following:
Disabled – select this option to not use the
Secondary details (see below)
Fallback – select this option for the Secondary
details to be used if the Primary connection fails
Enabled – select this option for the Secondary
details to be used
Secondary IP Address This is the IP address for connection to the
interface.
