NBR Settings
These are factors used to determine if Naturally
Occurring Radioactive Material is present.
Default Calibration
This is the default Calibration Accuracy used in the
Accuracy (%)
Calibration Check utility - see
19). It is used, along with the background
measurement, determines the count time required
with the SAM12 is being calibrated.
Values: 0.5 to 10% in 0.1% steps
Default: 1.00 %
Calibration
This factor affects the monitoring time of
Confidence (σ)
calibration.
Values: 0.1 to 4 sigma in 0.1 sigma steps
Default: 2
Note that this section is set by at production and should only be
changed in consultation with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Select Set-Up|Alarms to select
the Active Calibration Stream
and set the alarms:

Calibration / Nuclide
Use the direction arrows to change the Calibration
type. When the type is correct, select the Make
Active button
Note that a description of the Calibration Type is
displayed in the field below.
Normal Alarm
This is the detected activity at which SAM12 will
(default unit)
indicate an Alarm.
Values: 0 to 10,000,000 (Any unit).
