Mount the transistor to the rear
panel with a 6-32 x 3/8" screw, a
fibre shoulder washer, a No 6 lock-
washer, and a 6-32 nut. Be sure the
shoulder on the fibre washer is
inserted into the hole in the rear
panel.
Also make sure that the
transistor insulator is properly
positioned - it MUST keep the
transistor from touching the rear
panel.
Check the transistors at A, B, C
and D again to make sure they are
positioned flat against the rear
pane 1 .

Turn the chassis over and solder all
'V'<.
three leads of each transistor to
the foil. Then cut off the excess
lead length.

Position the chassis right-side-up.

Install a 6-32 x 5/8" screw in the
rear panel at BL with two No 6 lock-
washers and a 6-32 nut. Tighten this
hardware securely; then place two
No 6 flat washers and a thumbnut
onto the screw.
Tighten this only
finger tight.

Refer to Detail 3-3C and mount the
phono socket assembly and phono
assembly insulator to the inside of
the rear panel at BE.
Use two 6-32
x
3/8" screws, two fibre shoulder
washers, one No 6 lockwasher, one
No 6 solder lug, and two 6-32 nuts.
Be sure to position the solder lug
as shown.

4-screw terminal strip on the outside
of the rear panel at BF.
Use two
6-32 x 3/8" screws, two No 6 lock-
washers, and two 6-32 nuts.
Refer to Detail 3-3E (fold-out from Page
24) for the following steps.

Press the AC sockets into the rear
panel at BG and BH.

Install the fuseholder in the rear
panel at BJ.
Use the hardware
supplied with the fuseholder.
Position the fuseholder lugs as
shown.
Remove the fuseholder cap by turning
it counterclockwise.
Then install
the fuse and replace the fuseholder
cap.
