When installing the tantalum electrolytic
capicilor s, alway s position the marked
lead toward the positive (

sign on the
cir cuit hoard .
NOTE : With colour coded capacitors
there ,s a colour sµot on o ne side of the
capacitor. When viewed from this side,
with the leads downward, the positive

Solder the leads to me foil and cut
off the excess lead lengths.

IC socket (#434 -225) at JC101 .
Match the cutout on the end of the
socket with the dot on the circuit
board . Solder all the pins to the foil ;
be careful that there are no solder
bridges between socket pins.

lnstal I the 14-pin integrated circuit
(#442-41) in IC101 socket. First
make sure the IC pins are straight.
Then match the index mark on the
IC to the notch in the end of the
socket. Be sure all of the pins go
into the socket.

the manner shown. First line up the flat of
the transistor with the outline of the flat
on the circuit board . Then insert the
transistor leads into their correct holes.
