    Medical Inc. does not recommend that you use the EasyStand Bantam. Bantam (Extra Small) - is designed to accommodate most individuals from 28"-40" (71-102 cm) and up to 50 lbs. (23 kg). Bantam (Small) - is designed to accommodate most individuals from 36"-54" (91-137 cm) and up to 100 lbs. (45 kg).

    Assembly The basic stander consists of three assemblies. Options will be in addition to these three assemblies. • Front Frame • Seat Post / Rear Frame • Kneepads Remove the two bolts from front frame. Flip up the rear frame to allow easier access to the post.
  • Page 7 Place the two curved nuts into the bottom of the frame so they are flush with the tube. Place the two bolts into the top of the frame and screw into the curved nut. Tighten securely. Flip the unit back down to the normal position.
  • Page 8 If you ordered the Supine option, remove the locking handle and set hardware aside, you will need this later in the assembly process. Small Extra Small Line up the following arm with the back angle tube. Depress the spring button to allow the following arm to slide into place.

If you ordered the optional Shadow Tray, loosen the ratchet handles on the side of the tray, flip the arms up and tighten the ratchet handles.

    Supine Option The Supine Option can be added to the EasyStand Bantam. A head support is required when using the Bantam in the supine position. Flat to Load Transfers: Children who are difficult to transfer due to high tone can utilize the Bantam with the supine option to do a flat-to-load transfer or a knee/hip flexion (with a slight bend at the knees and hips) transfer.

The Bantam Small back angle adjustments are located under the locking knob. The back angle adjustments go from blue (smallest) to green (largest).

The hip support width can be adjusted by loosening the knobs underneath the seat. Loosen the knob on the side of the unit to adjust the hip support width. Always tighten securely.

    Pow’r Up Lift Option Charging the Battery FIG. A The EasyStand Bantam Pow'r Up Lift uses two 12 volt sealed lead batteries rated at 2.9 amps each. An EasyStand Bantam can be lifted approximately 100 times on one full battery charge. An audible alarm will sound when the battery is low.

  • Page 18 Battery Replacement Note: If your control box (which includes the batteries) is within the 90 day warranty, please do not open the control box, contact Altimate Medical customer service for a replacement. Once your batteries have reached the end of their life and need to be replaced, please follow the instructions below.

Only use the mechanical release in emergency situations. All Altimate Medical electric lift products are equipped with a mechanical release to be used in emergency situations.

    The very close fit of its mating parts gives each pump its own break-in “feel” and signature sound. • If the pump is leaking oil, call your local EasyStand Supplier for a replacement. The serial number on your EasyStand will be needed.
