(1) Air flow control handle: by pulling it out the vent is opened up to air, which leads to a more lively flame and, therefore, more
rapid consumption at a higher temperature. In normal functioning conditions, the air intake should remain semi-open (20 or 30%),
while it is necessary to open it completely for ten to fifteen minutes after lighting.
(2) Glass air vent handle: pull out to open the glass air vent, leading to a current of air to the glass for the self-cleaning effect. Less
markedly, this air acts as a kind of additional post-combustion, as it is slightly pre-heated. In normal conditions, the functioning of the
glass air should remain fully open.
(3) Channel regulator: the GALAXY, TAURUS and PANORAMIC devices have two outlet channels although only the GALAXY and
TAURUS have channelled air regulation. It is possible to control the flow of air via the upper controls with the arrows indicating the
closure and opening directions. The channel is closed by moving the lever to the centre of the device and vice-versa.

(4) Keep the door open: using a simple turn of the handle it is possible to open or close the door to access the interior cham-
ber of the fireplace to load wood or to clean. Be careful when opening the door not to bang it against the frame of the device. The
device should always be used with the door closed. To open it, do so slowly.
In the GALAXY and TAURUS insertable devices, the door handle has two closure positions: fully closed for normal conditions and
slightly ajar for the first few moments after lighting.
(5) Ash pan (only in GALAXY and TAURUS): the ash and other residue from the combustion process accumulates in the ash pan
drawer. It must be emptied and cleaned periodically depending on the use of the device. Devices from the PANORAMIC range
have a spade to remove the ash from the interior of the combustion chamber.
(6) Potentiometer: using the actioning of the potentiometer (positioned according to the criteria of the installer/client) it is possible to
turn on and control the rotation speed of the turbines.

3.3 Lighting of the device
For every lighting of the device, it is necessary to prepare a stack of kindling, from small 20 cm pieces of wood about 20 cm
in length and no more than 2 or 3 cm in diameter. These wood chips are placed at the centre of the fireplace to form a pile, as seen
in the image attached. Once the pile is formed, add two fire-lighter packs at the base and leave the door slightly ajar for a few
moments on the GALAXY and TAURUS devices in accordance with illustration 9 and fully closed for the PANORAMIC devices.
