1. INTRODUCTION

FERLUX Fireplaces and Barbecues congratulates you on purchasing your insertable woods-burning device from the GALAXY,
TAURUS or PANORAMIC range and appreciates your trust in us. Read all the instructions, advice and safety warnings carefully.
For any question or issues, consult your installer or technical assistance service (TAS).
The device must be installed by a professional. Don't forget to keep your invoice or purchase receipt, as this can be requested
for any action within the legal guarantee period in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of this manual.
1.1 Presentation and description of the device

The insertable devices from the GALAXY, TAURUS and PANORAMIC
ranges are comprised of a set of carbon picked steel sheets joined
mainly by welding to create a a combustion chamber coated
with vermiculite (1), a refractory material that ensures full combus-
tion while reducing emissions to the atmosphere thanks to the high
temperatures reached. So our GALAXY, TAURUS and PANORAMIC
ranges carry the ECODESIGN mark, synonymous with high perfor-
mance and respect for the environment.

comfort, the devices have different grilles than allow circulation of air

the built-in turbines. They also have two outlet channels (120 mm)

rooms.
To control combustion (duration and supply of heat) the device features a handle that acts on the air flow for combustion (4), as well
as a second regulator that changes the flow of air from the glass (5) which constitutes the clean glass system.

2.1 Requirements prior to installation

For the very principle of the functioning of the device, which works via combustion

of wood, it is necessary to ensure a supply of oxygen (present in the atmospheric
air). In the GALAXY/TAURUS devices, this consumption of oxygen will influence

the quality of the air in the room, so this situation must be anticipated, ensuring
adequate renewal of the interior air, for example by increasing the openings in venti-
lation grilles. The K range of thermo fireplaces are watertight devices that take air

from the adjacent room or directly from the exterior, thus not impacting on the
quality of the air in the area to be heated.
We recommend that you install the device in a location favourable to the distribution of hot air, with no obstacles that hinder
the flow or intake of air for the device itself. Similarly, it is possible to take advantage of an existing fireplace in good condition to
install a device provided it is built with non-combustible materials.
In any case, it is necessary that base upon which the device is to be set has sufficient bearing capacity for the weight. The device
must be perfectly level when installed, on both the horizontal and the vertical plane.
The surface temperature of the inaccessible parts of the walls must not exceed 65°C, and this limit falls to 50°C for acces-
sible parts. In most cases it will be necessary to use some form of insulation such as special rockwool or ceramic fibres for high
temperatures.
