A bare fiber version of the quad-adapter, N7740BI, can host up to four
bare fiber holders. Two types of bare fiber holder kits with four holders
each are available for fiber diameters up to 400 μm (81004BM) and
between 400 μm and 900 μm (81009BM). The one-click zeroing adapter
N7740ZI allows quick and reliable 4-port zeroing of the power meters.
These power meters are highly compatible with setups and programs.
They are also easy to synchronize with Keysight tunable laser sources, to
make spectral measurements. The functionality for time-dependent
measurement has been extended with sampling at up to 1 MHz and data
logging of up to 1 million samples for each port.
For further details on its application and key features, refer to the product
datasheet available on www.keysight.com.
The two-port N7747C and 4-port N7748C are the high performance
optical power meters in terms of sensitivity, noise and relative accuracy to
the compact N774-C instrument platform. These instruments combine the
optical performance of the 81634B sensor modules with the large memory,
fast data transfer and small footprint of the N774-C series platform. Eight
high-sensitivity optical power meters now fit in a single rack unit. Optical
connections are made with the interchangeable 81000xI connector
interface system.
For further details on its application and key features, refer to the product
datasheet available on www.keysight.com.
The N7749C optical head interface controls the remote heads. Readout is
supported over LAN and USB interfaces with a built-in web-browser GUI
and the SCPI command set common to Keysight optical power meters.
Power values can be logged with dual-1M sample buffers for each head, to
sample continuously with internal or external triggering. The heads
generally have sample averaging times ranging from 100 µs to 10 s.
Analog output port perfect for automated alignment
Direct feedback for optimization processes like fiber alignment is also
provided with analog voltage outputs, both at the remote head itself and
now from the N7749C front panel. The front-panel signals can be
configured to be either linearly proportional to the optical signal power or
logarithmic to provide useful signal over decades of power levels.
