It is also highly recommended that you wear a dust mask, ear protection and padded gloves. Check the blade carefully for cracks or damage prior to operation. Replace cracked or damaged blades immediately. -

RSG-491K manual.QXD 2/4/10 2:53 PM Page 7 OPERATION Saw Blades Always ensure the tool is switched off and unplugged before installing or removing a blade. Clean out all debris or foreign matter adhering to the blade and blade holder. Failure to do so may cause insufficient tightening of the blade, resulting in a serious injury. The reciprocating saw can cut a large variety of materials but the correct blade must be used. - Page 8 RSG-491K manual.QXD 2/4/10 2:53 PM Page 8 OPERATION (cont.) Variable Speed Dial A variable speed dial is linked into the switch. The speed of the tool can be regulated by adjusting this dial. After a speed has been selected the switch will be regulated to that speed until you readjust the dial.
