Installing driver and setting up adapter

Before you attach this product to CPU blade, you have to

Update onboard LAN driver, and

Remove Intel

You cannot do this from "Terminal Service (TS)" or "Deployment Manager (DPM)".

Do this on CPU blade itself.

Steps vary depending on the operating system. Confirm your OS and go to the corresponding

section.

Windows2000

WindowsServer2003

N8403-012 supports Windows2000

newer is applied. To use N8403-012 on Windows2000

that Service Pack 4 or newer is applied on the operating system.

* To use this product on Linux, install the driver either by

+ Media and manual that and come with the operating system provided by NEC

+ Update module available at NEC's Web site

When you have attached the adapter, you have to start up CPU

blade and change a part of BIOS settings. See Section 4.2

" Changing BIOS settings after attaching the adapter " on page 45 for

details.
