5-3-3. Photographic Resolving Power Check
For this lens, it is necessary to check the photographic resolving power with two kinds of focal length (24 mm, 105 mm).
Therefore, please check with the case where the zoom set to the WIDE end (focal length: 24 mm) and the case where it is set to the TELE end
(focal length: 105 mm).
Equipment and Tools
• Resolution check chart (ILC)
• Camera (General E-mount Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera with Full-Frame Sensor)
• 40 inch LCD monitor (Full HD)
(1) Setting of Equipment
Setting Procedure
1. Set the zoom to the WIDE end (focal length: 24 mm) or TELE end (focal length: 105 mm).
2. Set the Shooting Mode to the Aperture Priority mode and set the open aperture.
3. Set the camera at the position where a chart appears in the whole screen. Furthermore, move it to the 100 mm rear from that position.

(2) Checking Method
Checking Procedure
1. Set to manual focus on status that the "(1) Setting of Equipment" condition.
2. Focus and shoot with self timer.
3. Keep focusing as step 2, change the object distance to the shooting distance position ± 100 mm of step 1, then shoot two times with self
timer.
4. Check the three images to see if the resolution of the patterns in center and periphery meets the standard shown in below.
• Check if the circle in the center is resolved clearly.
• Check to ensure the other circles (24 circles) are resolved symmetrically in vertical and horizontal directions.
(A circle and its counterpart on the diametrically opposite side are resolved equally.)
* Use Adobe Photoshop to check the image resolution.
*Check the center circle (red frame) and the other peripheral
circles (blue frame) at the same magnification.
