Installing the Hopper
Assembly
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Hopper assembly
2 Welded mounting pin
2 Hairpin cotter (for 1/2 inch shaft)
2 Hairpin cotter (for 1/4 inch shaft)
2 Carriage bolt (5/16 x 1 inch)
2 Flange locknut (5/16 inch)
Procedure
1. Remove the tie straps securing the tie rods to the
hopper arms.
2. Install 2 carriage bolts (5/16 x 1 inch) and flange
nuts in the holes in the hopper arm where tie straps
previously were.
3. Slide the hopper assembly (hopper cover to rear) into
the side frame while aligning the mounting holes in
hopper with the holes in frame

4. Secure the hopper to the frame with 2 welded mounting
pins and hairpin cotters
5. Secure the hopper tie rods to the frame with hairpin
cotters (Figure

6. Adjust the tie rods up or down to ensure that the
hopper is level with the machine and it does not contact
the machine during operation.
