ADJUSTMENT OF RESOLUTION

1.
Set the adamantane standard sample.
2.
Perform spinning.
3.
Load the pulse sequence: setup/reso_adjust_adm.jxp in the Experiment
Tool.
4.
Confirm that repeat was selected.
5.
Click the Submit button.
The pulses occur, and the measurement starts.
6.
Adjust the phase by the following procedure.
a.
Click the Monitor tab.
The Monitor tab appears.
b.
After selecting the process list in the Processing Preferences panel, click
the Process
c.
Perform phase adjustment using Phasing Tools.
7.
Expand near the peak, and check the half-height width.
8.
If the half-height width is larger than the specifications, adjust the shims ac-
cording to the following procedure.
a.
Open the Shims Control window by clicking the Shims button in the Moni-
tor tab.
b.
Adjust Z1 and Y to maximize the peak intensity.
c.
Adjust X2 and YZ to maximize the peak intensity.
d.
Adjust Z3 to maximize the peak intensity.
e.
Repeat steps b to d until the half-height width satisfies the specifications.
9.
When shim adjustment is completed, display the Queue tab, and terminate
the measurement.

If the Processing Preferences panel does not appear, click the Processing but-
ton on the far right side.
If the Phasing Tools panel does not appear, click the Phasing button on the far
right side.
When spectrum data points are lacking, select the process list that performed the
Zerofill process.
