Introduction Dual Antenna Arbitrator (MXP) Introduction The Dual Antenna Arbitrator is to be used with two complete Sea Tel Transmit/Receive (TX/RX) satellite communication systems. The primary purpose of the Dual Antenna Arbitrator is to switch services from one antenna, which has become blocked by the ships structure or has otherwise lost service, to the other antenna.

FCC Compliance FCC regulation 47 C.F.R. § 25.221 (C-Band) and 47 C.F.R. § 25.222 (Ku-Band) define the provisions for blanket licensing of ESV antennas operating in the C, and Ku, Band respectively. Parameters: a: ANT A is active b: ANT B is active Note: this will temporarily override the current active antenna regardless of switching mode. If the Arbitrator is in auto mode and the system state is such that the antenna not selected should be active, the Arbitrator will switch back to that antenna almost immediately.

Dual Antenna Installation Dual Antenna Arbitrator (MXP) Dual Antenna Installation The antennas used with this Dual Antenna Arbitrator can be Series 09MK3, Series 12 or Series 9711IMA. If not already installed, refer to your antenna installation manual to install the two Sea Tel antennas. After the installation of the antennas, the MXP Antenna Control Units and the cables has been completed, refer to the information below to install the Dual Antenna Arbitrator.
