It does not utilize the downrod. Downrod Mount is best suited for ceilings 8 ft.

    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ ALL SAFETY INFORMATION AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN INSTALLING THE FAN AND SAVE INSTRUCTIONS. CAUTION: All set screws of the fan must be checked and retightened where necessary before installation. To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade brackets when installing the brackets, balancing the blades or cleaning fan.
  • Page 5 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Turn OFF the electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker. 2. Remove the mounting bracket by removing the two Mounting Bracket mounting bracket screws from the round holes in the Screws canopy. Then loosen the other two mounting bracket screws from the J-shaped slots.

Use wire connectors to connect the fan wires to the Black (hot) power supply wires according to the wiring diagram and the following instructions: White (neutral) Bare/Green • Connect the green wire from the downrod and mounting (ground) bracket to the bare/green (ground) supply wire.

Then connect the 9-pin connector from the fitter plate to the 9-pin connector in Switch Housing the light kit.

To install without the light kit, remove the Lock Washer Hex Nut preassembled hex nut and lock washer from the Switch Housing threaded rod inside of the switch housing. Remove light kit from the switch housing, then install the plug button into the center hole of the switch housing.

    TROUBLESHOOTING If you have difficulty operating your new ceiling fan, it may be the result of incorrect assembly, installation or wiring.
