About the Battery The computer uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery as its main power source. Several factors determine the life of the battery, such as display brightness, display timeout, input device, extreme temperature, and battery usage.
The mobile computer ships with a partially charged battery. Charge the battery with a CT40/CT40 XP series charging device for a minimum of 4 hours. Using the computer while charging the battery increases the time required to reach a full charge.
If you have a CT40 model, power off the computer. • If you have a CT40 XP model, place the unit in Swap Battery mode (see below). CT40 XP Swap Battery Mode Swap Battery mode places the computer in a lower power state so that the battery can be removed for a short time.

About the Audio Features The CT40 has multiple speakers, a microphone, and several software tools to configure sound volume or enable vibration feedback. Adjust Speaker Volume Use the Volume button on the left side of the computer to adjust the volume of ringtones, media, notifications, and alarms.

About Terminal Emulators Honeywell offers several terminal emulator solutions that allow users to manage their mobile devices by providing reliable data transfer between the host mobile device and terminal. Terminal emulators can be used for remote management and configuration of devices, data collection and analysis, and session management.

Once an app with push-to-talk functionality is installed and opened, the button can be used to initiate a call after selecting a contact from within the app.

About the Color Camera The CT40 Series comes equipped with a 13-megapixel color camera on the back of the computer. For added flexibility, the CT40 XP Series comes equipped with two color cameras, an 8-megapixel camera located on the front, and a 13-megapixel color camera on the back.
To return to the Camera app, tap the Back navigation button. Note: On CT40 XP models, select to switch between the front and rear camera. The front camera does not include a Flash feature.CT40 models do not include a front camera. Record a Video This section explains how to record video with the camera in the computer.

About Wi-Fi Staging You can use the Honeywell Wi-Fi Staging app to quickly set up new devices by configuring one device and using it to stage others. Wi-Fi Staging can also be used to enroll devices in a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system by connecting units to a defined network and downloading and installing the MDM client app.
