About CT40 XP Models with USB Type C Connector
On CT40 XP model configurations with the optional USB Type C connector, you can
use a USB cable to charge the mobile computer from a host device (e.g., laptop or
desktop computer). The connected host device must supply a minimum power
output of 5V, 1A to the CT40 XP or the battery will not charge.
Note: If the mobile computer is drawing more current than supplied by the charging source,
charging will not take place.

Battery Replacement

If your battery power is low, you need to either charge the battery in the computer
or replace it with a charged battery. See

Always do the following before removing the battery:
CT40 XP Swap Battery Mode
Swap Battery mode places the computer in a lower power state so that the battery
can be removed for a short time. This feature in not available on CT40 models.
To activate Swap Battery mode:
1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears.
2. Touch Swap Battery and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Once you replace the battery, press the Power button.
