Features and Benefits
The IMPRES energy solution is an advanced Tri-Chemistry energy system developed by Motorola
Solutions.
The system consists of IMPRES batteries, IMPRES Adaptive Charger, radio hardware, and software
which provides the capability for IMPRES compatible radios to communicate with IMPRES batteries.
The IMPRES Adaptive Charger, when used in conjunction with Motorola Solutions IMPRES batteries
provides the following benefits:
• Maximize battery life by significantly reducing heat during the trickle and post-charge cycles.
• Provide higher-rate IMPRES Lithium-Ion battery charging.
• Eliminate the need to train personnel to manage battery maintenance tasks
Using this unique patented system, there is no requirement to track and record IMPRES battery use,
conduct manual calibration cycles, or remove batteries from chargers after charging completion
The IMPRES Adaptive Charger monitors the usage pattern of the IMPRES battery, stores the
information in the IMPRES battery, and performs a calibration cycle only when needed.
The IMPRES Adaptive Charger does not overheat the IMPRES battery regardless of how long it is left
in the pocket. The charger monitors the battery and automatically charge the battery as required.
