• Parity: A means of checking the correctness of a character by adding an extra bit to the character and setting
the value based on all the other bits in the character.
• StopBits: The number of bits used to indicate the end of the character.
When the user has completed setting the communication parameters for the device, click Finish.

Input Configuration
The SS-015 can accept up to three 0-24 mA, 0-1.0 V
one process and one digital input. These modes are detailed in the below sections.
6.3.1 Process Inputs Interface
To configure the process inputs, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click the Inputs configuration tab on SYNC and choose from Single, Dual, or Triple Process in the Type
dropdown.
Step 2: Click on each input channel and choose between the mA and mV options from the Device Range/Type
drop-down. Click Apply Settings when done.
6.3.1.1 4-20 mA Device Connection
An input channel configured for 0-24 mA can measure the output of a 4-20 mA device. The Current Loop
interface measures the current into the selected input by converting it to a voltage measurement across
a fixed 49.9-ohm resistor.
