3. APsystems Microinverter QT2D Introduction

APsystems 2

generation of native 3-phase microinverters are reaching unprecedented
power outputs of 3600W. Connecting up to 8 high power modules (4 by 2 in series), the
QT2D provides a cost-efficient solution ideal for today's fast growing commercial PV
segment.
The innovatve design makes the product unique while maximizing power producton. The
components are encapsulated with silicone to reduce stress on the electronics, facilitate
thermal dissipaton, enhance waterproof propertes and ensure maximum reliability of the
system via rigorous testng methods including accelerated life testng. A 24/7 energy access
through apps or web-based portal facilitate remote diagnosis and maintenance.
The new QT2D is interactve with power grids through a feature referred to as RPC (Reactve
Power Control) to beter manage photovoltaic power spikes in the grid. In additon, it provides
97% peak efciency with 20% less components compared to the last generaton product. QT2D
is a game changer in 3-phase installatons for commercial PV roofops.
Key Product Feature:
One microinverter connects to 8 PV modules
Each channel connects 2 PV modules in series (for PV modules with Voc<60V)
The 2 PV modules in series must reach a total Voc within the Operation Voltage
Range as prescribed in the datasheet, section 8.1
It is recommended to only use PV modules of same brand and same type when
connecting them in series
If the PV module has already a standalone Voc within the Operation Voltage Range
(i.e 96 cells PV modules), then only 1 PV module must be connected per DC input
Maximum output power reaching 3600W
4 input channels with 2 independent MPPT
