Trailer Side Panel Installation
Tools Needed:
Two people
Metric Socket Set
Power drill with drill bits
ABI recommends building all of step 1 on the ground then
continue with step 2.
Step #1:
Note: Each long side board has one leg with a longer
tab (tailgate end) and one leg with a shorter tab (front of
trailer).
Assemble the pieces into a rectangle by inserting the two
pins on a short side board into the two holes on a long side
board (Fig 75).
Attach the two latches on the other side of the short side
board to the two keepers on the other long side board (Fig
76).
Note: Longer tabs are tailgate end (tabs points away from
trailer bed), shorter tabs are front (tabs wrap around corner)
(Fig 77).
Step #2:
Have one person on each end of the panel assembly to pick
up and place on trailer bed (Fig 77).

Step #3:
Drill 8 holes (2 per corner) at each of the mounting bolt hole
locations to affix the side boards to the trailer bed.
Slide a flat washer onto each bolt head, insert bolt through
a hole, attach a locking washer and nut, now tighten
(hardware included in kit).
Repeat this for each of the 4 corners and your side boards
are installed.
