2.5.11 Other: Tacacs+
If an external Tacacs+ server is required to authenticate the device's HTTP and Telnet services, it must
be configured in this section.
• Server: IP or DNS address of the Tacacs+ server
• Port: listening port of the Tacacs+ server (by default 49)
• KEY: encryption password
• Service http: check the box if you want the device's web access to use the Tacacs+ authentication
service
• Service console: check the box if you want access by telnet or ssh (Remote console) to the
device to use the authentication service Tacacs+
ADDITIONAL NOTES
• Once the configuration is finished, press the "SAVE CONFIG" button to save the changes.
Remember that you must restart the device for the new changes to take effect
• Keep in mind that the MTX-StarEnergy-M will allow you to use the username and password
assigned to the user "admin" locally, so that if the route does not have internet connectivity
(change of operator, etc.) it has an option to enter the team. Therefore keep the local password
of the user "admin" safely
