Note:
-Avoid prolonged exposure to sun and extreme heat to prevent deterioration of the outer fabric
and damage to welded seams.
-Avoid repeated or prolonged use in water that is heavily treated with pool chemicals to prevent
premature decay of fabric.
-To prevent damage to the bladder, do not allow CSAV to chafe against sharp or rough objects
and do not set or drop heavy objects on CSAV.
-Avoid contact with oil, gasoline or other solvents.
-The Rapid Exhaust Valve only requires ¼" of travel to exhaust air. Excessive force is not
required.
-To prevent premature damage from corrosion, salt crystals or chlorine attack, thoroughly rinse
the CSAV inside and out with fresh water at the end of each diving day using the following
procedure:
Initials
______ 1. Depress the oral inflate button and direct fresh water into the airway to rinse the interior of
the CSAV.
______ 2. Disconnect the powerline inflator from the bladder. Rinse with fresh water. Hang
to dry with the OPRV down to allow complete drainage, utilizing the velcro retainer on the
vest.
______ . Remove the two bottle connectors to allow water to drain out of the bladder. Rinse out bottle
connectors. Allow CSAV to dry overnight before reinstalling bottle connectors.
______ 4. Reinstall bottle connectors. Inflate CSAV and ensure no water remains inside
bladder. Drain if required.
______ 5. Store CSAV partially inflated in a clean, dry area away from extreme temperatures:
no greater than 120˚F/49˚C and no less than 0˚F/-18˚C.
