They are NOT non-magnetic. Before using this vest, you must have successfully received training and certifi- cation in the technique of SCUBA diving from a recognized certification agen- cy (or any Military or government operated diving school).

CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL SYSTEM LAYOUT SureLock™ Weight Integrated System The CSAV vest is supplied with four () removable SureLock™ weight pouches, two () 10-LB pouches and two () 15-LB pouches. This is a positive lock- ing, mechanical release weight system. Each pocket is capable of holding up to 10 LB (.5 kg), or 15 LB (6. kg), respectively, of lead weights.

CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL Inflation and Buoyancy The CSAV vest can be inflated from the pressurized cylinders, power inflator or orally. It is designed for professional use with all types of back or chest- worn breathing apparatuses. The distribution of the buoyancy chamber provides excellent safety perfor- mance, either during buoyant ascent (vertical stability) or at the surface (natural support position with head and shoulders out of the water).
CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL AIR BLADDER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE Hardware must be removed prior to removing the bladder. Unscrew the cylinders from the cylinder connectors. Next, unscrew the cylinder connectors from the bladder. Unscrew the inflator airway from the connector, located on the left shoulder.

CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL Unzip the outer jacket and remove the bladder. To reinstall the bladder, properly align the threaded connectors on the bladder with the holes on the jacket. Stuff the bladder back into the vest and insert the connectors through the holes. Reconnect the cylinders, inflator and manifold cover.
CSAV bladder. Unauthorized service or tampering may render this valve inoperable, and could cause the bladder to leak or rupture. This type of damage is not repairable, and is not covered under the terms and conditions of Aqua Lung’s one year warranty.
CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL Areas of Adjustment Although the CSAV comes in two () different sizes, the container and air bladder are the same size for both models. The harness is adjustable in several ways in order to achieve the best possible fit for a wide range of divers.

CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL Additional fittings Adjustments can be made to both the waist band and the external chest strap for maximum comfort. The vertical torso strap inside the vest can also be adjusted. In addition, the strap found at the back of the harness can be adjusted to provide the diver with a snug fit around the body.

CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL For scuba (single or twin) configuration with a Mariner Kampack or a Mariner Twinpack, use CSAV strap kit PN 769091. Tighten Kampack strap and Place Mariner Kampack on secure onto tank. tank and adjust to preferred height.
CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL When preparing the twinpack, make sure to attach the shoulder, waist, and back straps, as shown above. For scuba twin cylinders configured with the Twin Tank Harness, use CSAV strap kit PN 769097. Attach tankbands and corresponding straps to the tanks, using the strap kit provided.

CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL Weave the shorter straps through the top and the longer straps though the bottom of the tank bands, ensuring the buckles are fac- ing the correct direction. Pull the straps in until the wide webbing is against the tank bands.

When attaching the bottom strap, make sure to connect the buckles to the female buckles on the D-ring inside of the CSAV. Do NOT connect to the buckles outside of the CSAV.
CSAV MILITARY LIFE PRESERVER TECHNICAL MANUAL MK16 SETUP Strap Kit PN 769089 Attach all five (5) straps to the MK16 using standard Navy “dog bones.” Straps consist of two () shoulder straps, two () waist straps and one (1) Y-crotch strap. Shorten the straps to keep the MK16 high on the back.
