Problem
No sound is produced.
The sound is weak and
can hardly be heard.
The sound is distorted.
A radio broadcast has
interference from noise.
A radio broadcast can-
not be received.
A noise is produced
from the rear of the main
unit.
The HDMI CEC function
does not work.
When you disconnect
the HDMI cable and
connect it again, the
HDMI CEC function
does not work properly.

Possible cause
The speakers are not con-
nected correctly.
Headphones are connected.
The sound is turned off.
If "NO AUDIO" is displayed in
the display window, the disc
may have been produced
through illegal copying.
The volume level is low.
The volume is too high.
The antennas are not con-
nected correctly.
The internal cooling fan pro-
duces the noise as the fan
rotates.
The connected TV is not com-
patible with the HDMI CEC
function.
"OFF" is selected for the "CEC"
setting.
The previous connection setting
is stored on the main unit.
Possible solution
Connect the speakers correctly.
Disconnect the headphone plug.
Restore the sound.
Check the disc at the store where
it was purchased.
Increase the volume level.
Turn down the volume.
Connect the antennas correctly.
The noise is not a malfunction.
The cooling fan is used to prevent
overheating of the main unit.
Refer to the operation manual of
the TV.
Select "ON 1" or "ON 2" for the
"CEC" setting.
Select "OFF" for the "CEC" setting,
and then select "ON 1" or "ON 2"
again.
