4. Using a soft silicone spatula (alternatively a paper card) carefully
check whether there is any hardened material residue on the
bottom of the reservoir. In this case, perform an automatic
reservoir cleaning. → Chapter 10.1.11
5. Place the empty reservoir on a paper towel.
For cleaning the material reservoir, please proceed as follows:
1. Completely empty the material reservoir. To do this, fill the
printing material into the original bottle using one of the two
outlet openings on the sides of the reservoir. By doing so, filter
the material with a precision strainer (fine, 190 my).
2. Place the empty reservoir on a paper towel.
3. Fill isopropanol in the reservoir.
4. By using a soft silicone spatula, carefully mix the isopropanol
with a back-and-forth motion to loosen the material residues
from the bottom of the reservoir and bind them in the
isopropanol.
5. Then empty the isopropanol-material mixture through one of the
outlet openings into a separate collecting container.
If this fails to bind all the material residues, repeat with fresh
isopropanol until all material residues have been removed.
6. Then dab dry the reservoir gently with a microfibre cloth.
Never rub! We recommend drying the bottom of the reservoir
with compressed air. (Caution! Do not inhale the aerosol.)
7. Turn the reservoir over and clean the underside (glass bottom)
with a microfibre cloth soaked in isopropanol.
8. Afterwards, clean the underside of the reservoir with a microfibre
cloth soaked in glass cleaner to remove any streaks.
