6. Measure voltage across connector 10b and connector
10c. See diagram 5 or 6.
— If the multimeter indicates 0VDC, then go to the next step.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 0VDC, then
replace the battery cable (10) and retest the system.
7. With connector 10a and connector 5b still unplugged,
measure resistance across the negative terminal of the
front battery (11a) and the positive terminal of the rear
battery (11b). See diagram 3 or 4.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 1 ohm, then replace
the batteries and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 1 ohm, then go
to the next step.
8. Measure resistance across the terminals of the circuit
breaker (11c). See figure 5.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 1 ohm, then replace
the battery/circuit breaker harness (11) and retest the
system.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 1 ohm, then
replace the circuit breaker (11c) and retest the system.
From step 5
9. Plug connector 10a back into connector 5b. See
diagram 5 or 6.
10. Disconnect the power module (2) from the module
mounting bracket. See figure 6.
11. Unplug connector 5a from connector 2c. See diagram 5
or 6.
12. Measure voltage across pin 1 (+) and pin 2 (-) on
connector 5a. See figure 7.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 0VDC, then go
to the next step.
— If the multimeter indicates 0VDC, then replace the
power interface harness (5) and retest the system.
13. Plug connector 5a back into connector 2c. See diagram
5 or 6.
14. Unplug connector 3a from connector 2a. See diagram 5
or 6.
15. Measure voltage across pin 1 and pin 4 of connector 2a.
See figure 8.
— If the multimeter indicates 0VDC, then replace the power module (2) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 0VDC, then go to the next step.
NOTE: If the chair is equipped with a power positioning system, refer to the troubleshooting guide for that particular
power positioning system.
