LEDs. This issue is not specific only to ADJ lighting fixtures, it is a common issue with lighting fixtures from all manufacturers. Although there is no true way to fully prevent this issue from happening, the guidelines below can prevent any potential damage from occurring if followed.
VERY IMPORTANT: This notice pertains to your personal safety as well as the preservation of the fixture. The Philips® Platinum 5R Discharge lamp has a maximum lifetime of 3000 hours. ADJ strongly recommends conducting periodic, regular checks of the lamp running time. When the lamp approaches the 3000 hour mark, it is strongly recommended to replace the lamp.
Regular inspections are recommended to insure proper function and extended life. There are no user serviceable parts inside this fixture. Please refer all other service issues to an authorized ADJ service technician. Should you need any spare parts, please order genuine parts from your local ADJ dealer.

FIXTURE WILL NOT DROP IF THE CLAMP FAILS. The Vizi Beam 5RX is fully operational in two different mounting positions: hanging upside-down from a ceiling or set on a flat level surface. To avoid internal damage to the unit, never mount the unit on its side, as illustrated above.

L A M P R E P L A C E M E N T 1. Use a screwdriver to unlock and remove the moving-head cover panel using a screwdriver. 2. Ensure the moving head is horizontal as shown below, and remove the lamp cooling fan at the rear of the head.

L A M P R E P L A C E M E N T 5. Place the new lamp into the lamp socket. 6. Adjust the lamp using a slotted screwdriver until it’s centered. 7. Reinstall the fan, then replace and secure the head covers.

Data Cable (DMX Cable) Requirements (For Standard DMX Operation or Primary/Secondary Operation): The Vizi Beam 5RX can be controlled via DMX-512 protocol. The Vizi Beam 5RX can be either a 16 or 19 channel DMX unit. The DMX address is set electronically using the controls on the side panel of the unit.
XLR connector (DATA + and DATA -). This unit is inserted in the female XLR connector of the last unit in your daisy chain to terminate the line. Using a cable terminator (ADJ part number Z-DMX/T) will decrease the possibilities of erratic behavior.
SYSTEM MENU When making adjustments press ENTER to confirm your setup then press and hold the MENU button for at least 3 seconds. To exit without making any adjustments press the MENU button. The display will lock after 30 seconds. Press the MENU button for 3 seconds to unlock.

S Y S T E M M E N U ADDR - DMX Address Setting. 1. Press the either the MENU, UP, or DOWN buttons until “ADDR” is displayed, then press ENTER. 2. The current address will now be displayed and flashing. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to find your desired address.

O F F S E T M E N U NOTE: ONLY QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS SHOULD PERFORM THIS FUNCTION This function allows small adjustments to be made to the multiple fixture settings to compensate for movement misalignment, and/or when a sensor has been knocked slightly out of position. Improper use of this function can result in undesired operation of this fixture compared to others being used at the same time.
