Preparations for adjustment
(measurement points, subject, other)
(1) Insert card.
(2) Start up in playback mode.
(3) If a message promptingthe
user to set the
dateappears, press the
buttonspecified on the
right.
(4) Check the playback image.
(1) Select "Erase" -> "Erase
all" from the menu and
then press the "OK" button.
(2) Press the "OK" button
again.
(1) Play back a completely
black image.
(2) Play back a completely
white (75%) image.
(1) Connect the power supply
jig to the battery terminal.
(2) Set the power supply
voltage.
(3) Attach the dummy battery
cover.
(4) Set the Mode dial to Movie
mode and turn the camera
on.
(5) Set the power supply to
half-voltage.
(6) Set the pre-end voltage.
(7) Set the end voltage.

imageshot appears,
regardlessof whether it is
automaticor manual.Check
that the date isdisplayed in
theYYYY.MM.DD format.
(1) Check that an erase
message such as the
following appears:
Japan: "
OK?"
Overseas: "ERASE ALL
OK?"
China: "
OK?"
(2) Check that the recorded
images are erased.
(1) Check that there are no
noticeable dust flecks or
stains (bright spots,
smears, flashing points,
etc.) on the screen.
(2) 3.90 V ± 0.05 V
(4) Check that the camera
start up nomally.
(5) 3.55 V ± 0.20 V
Check that the battery-low
waring (half-discharged)
appears.
(6) 3.35 V ± 0.20 V
Check that the battery-low
warning (pre-end) appears.
(7) 3.20 V ± 0.20 V
Check that the zoom
retracts and the camera
turns off after the battery
low warning (end) appears.
